MiP's annual conference is free to attend for members and gives them the opportunity to meet with other health and care managers , policy makers and opinion shapers to discuss healthcare policy and employment practices.

The 2013 MiP conference was held in London on 27 November. Over 250 delegates heard from a great line up of speakers, including a lively discussion between Stephen Dorrell MP, chair of the Health Select Committee, and Shadow Health Secretary Andy Burnham MP. We had a thought provoking discussion about patient involvement, led by Health Ombudsman Dame Julie Mellor and a debate about management standards and accountability, led by Professor Chris Ham from the King's Fund.  Our masterclasses and speednetworking gave delegates the chance to hear about ways to boost their personal resilience, the benefits of coaching as a management technique, the use of appreciative inquiry in solving workplace problems and HEE's plans to develop the NHS workforce.
