MiP is the only trade union organisation dedicated to providing personal support and employment advice to the UK's healthcare managers
Everything MiP does is about helping you make healthcare happen
Welcome to Managers in Partnership (MiP), a new kind of trade union organisation specifically for managers of healthcare.
We have more than 5,500 members, including 200 chief executives, working in all four UK health services, and the private and third sectors. We are growing fast with 600 new members joining in the first half of 2010.
MiP helps healthcare managers to do the job they are passionate about: delivering dignified and effective healthcare to patients.
We provide:
expert employment advice and direct representation to help you in your career, ensuring you are treated fairly by your employers and helping you get the best outcome;
as part of the fastest growing community of healthcare managers in the UK, you have plenty of opportunities to network and share knowledge with like-minded professionals, at members' events, online and at our annual conference;
using our collective voice to communicate the views of healthcare managers to employers, policy makers, the public and the media, making changes for the better and challenging negative perceptions;
MiP works with service users, other trade unions and employers locally, regionally and nationally to support innovation and best practice in healthcare and to ensure patients and staff are treated with dignity and respect.
Unison, the largest public service union, and the FDA, the specialist management union, launched MiP in June 2005. MiP has its own staff and our national committee of members has full policy-making powers. We are not affiliated to any political party.
