MiP speaking up for pension fairness
Public service pensions are under attack. MiP and the other health unions want to secure a fair and lasting settlement for the future of the NHS Pension Scheme. We have been locked in negotiations with ministers for the best part of a year.
MiP ballots members on the final offer for a new NHS pension scheme in England and Wales
MiP members in England, Northern Ireland and Wales should have received ballot papers to vote on whether to accept or reject the final offer for the future of the NHS pension scheme. You can vote online or by post. Please use your vote to give us a clear mandate for our response. The ballot closes on 8 May 2012.

The Department of Health has produced NHS pension calculators to estimate what your future benefits may be under the proposed new scheme. These only cover Agenda for Change or Medical and Dental Staff, but they give a good idea of what it could mean. We have included some examples for those on VSM or other senior pay in our guide to the new scheme (see above).
