Transition update: Commissioning support services
Wed 16 May 2012
News for MiP members in PCTs, SHAs and ALBs in England
The deadline for applications for managing directors of commissioning support services (CSS) has been extended to 18 May, after technical problems with the recruitment website.
There are now 23 vacancies for managing directors, as three CSS failed the latest stage of the authorisation process.
Longlisting is expected to take place by 24 May, with the assessment centres scheduled in London and Leeds over 29 - 31 May. Final panel interviews are scheduled for 14, 15 and 19 June. A local authority representative has been added to the interview panel.
The Business Development Unit of the DH has assured MiP that a strict 'Chinese wall' will operate with the open recruitment process. No one involved in the appointment process will be told anything about candidates from the open competition until after decisions are taken for all candidates in the limited ring fenced competition.
