About MIP

Welcome to Managers in Partnership (MiP) - a new kind of trade union organisation specifically for managers of healthcare. We are more than 5,000 people in leadership roles, including 300 chief executives. We work in all four UK health services, and the private and third sectors. For a breakdown of who we are see ‘Members’ in this section. To find out about our jobs go to the ‘Managers and Healthcare’ section.

Unison, the largest public service union, and the FDA, the specialist management union, launched MiP in June 2005. To learn why see ‘Our Aims’ and the press links below. MiP has its own staff and policy-making powers. It is not affiliated to any political party.

Since our launch over 1,500 people have joined us, making MiP the UK’s fastest growing trade union organisation. The ‘Membership’ section explains why we belong to MiP and the benefits of membership.
