Elections to FDA executive committee
Nominations are invited for representatives on the FDA executive committee
MiP’s partner organisation, the FDA, is holding elections for its national executive committee. As MiP members enjoy the benefits of FDA membership, they are entitled to participate in the election process. Nominations close on 21 March 2012.

There's still time to withdraw the Health and Social Care Bill
It is not too late to withdraw the Health and Social Care Bill and avoid the unnecessary cost and disruption it would bring to the NHS.
As the Health and Social Care Bill returns to the Lords for its report stage, MiP has reiterated its call for the Bill to be withdrawn. MiP has always argued that the proposals are risky, unnecessary and costly, and the Government amendments to the Bill have not changed our minds. We are continuing to lobby Peers and MPs to raise our concerns, and you can lend your voice in a number of ways.

Updated NHS Pension calculators now published
The Department of Health has published updated calculators based on the Government's proposals for the future of the NHS scheme
The new NHS Pension calculators give you the opportunity to estimate your future benefits under the Government’s proposals, as set out in the Heads of Agreement. The Department of Health has also produced a calculator to enable you to estimate the increase in your contributions for 2012 – 2013. This is separate from the discussions about the reform of public sector pensions and will be implemented from April this year.
