Five Reasons to Join MiP

1. We offer a first class employment advice and representation by a strong, experienced UK-wide team of national officers who know the health service inside and out. MiP will challenge bad practice and ensure NHS managers are treated fairly and with respect. If needed, our officers will draw on the assistance of Thompsons, a national law firm with a strong reputation in employment law.

2. We provide opportunities to network flexibly and effectively. Through MiP’s networks, members will be able to access up-to-date information on changes to managerial roles, contracts and professional support and development. MiP is working with a leading web-based information platform to provide free access to an online health network just for managers to share experience, best practice and make contacts.

3. We are wholly independent - run by and for members. The policy of MiP will be set by a National Committee of members who want to shape the new organisation. Partner unions FDA and UNISON have much to offer, but MiP itself will be completely independent and free to set its own agenda, policy and rules of engagement.

4. You will be part of a collective and influential voice on policy. MiP will lobby and influence government, ministers, policymakers and the media to promote health managers’ interests.

5. As a member of MiP you will be entitled to all the financial and other member services of both the FDA and UNISON.
