MiP has a growing network of representatives who are supporting members and making a difference in the workplace.
We believe that a union’s strongest asset is its members. No one knows the issues affecting the workplace like you and that’s why we rely on you to inform our campaigns, policies and our engagement with government and employers.
All our workplace reps receive support and training directly from their union, enabling you to take on a high profile role in your workplace, gaining valuable knowledge and skills as you support your colleagues.
We understand as healthcare managers your role is hugely demanding, with limits on how much extra activity you can commit to. That’s why the MiP representative role is flexible and how much you do is dependent on your own capacity. You will be supported throughout.
If you want to become more active in MiP, we run free workplace representative training programmes throughout the year. Upon completion, you will become a fully accredited workplace rep and can support the work of the union by:
