MiP has contributed to an essay collection on the future of health devolution, alongside other leaders in the health field.
The essay explores the future role health and social care managers in devolution, and was written by MiP chief executive Jon Restell and MiP communications and policy officer Mercedes Broadbent.
The essay collection, Is Devolution the Future of Health and Social Care was launched in the Houses of Parliament with a keynote address by Lord Peter Smith, Chair of Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership. This was followed by a panel discussion featuring Jennifer Dixon, Health Foundation; Lynda Thomas, chief executive of Macmillan Cancer Care, Warren Heppolette, executive lead for Strategy & System Development, Greater Manchester Health & Social Care Partnership; and MiP’s Jon Restell.
MiP will continue to highlight the important role of health and care managers in the future of devolution, as well as bringing political attention to the positives and negatives for our members.
